A little bit about me

Hi my name is Emily. As mummy of two little ones my love and appreciation for photography started at a young age but grew when my daughter was born back in 2019. Years before my now husband had asked me if I could do any job what would it be …. A newborn photographer was my answer. 

Fast forward several years and now with my own family, in 2021 I took the plunge and decided to turn my long time passion into a business to share my love for capturing special moments with others and pursue a career as a photographer making it my full time job in 2022.  

I started Bloom, Blossom and Blush photography as portrait photography has always been most inspiring and joyful to me. I love the creativity of taking photos and being able to help parents relive and share precious moments forever through my photos. Little ones grow and change so fast so being able to help treasure the details, capture the smiles and freeze special moments in time forever is such a privilege to me.

I wanted to start my own business to not only prove to myself that I could do it but to show to my daughter and son that you can be what you want to be. 

My Photography Style

My aim with any photoshoot is to capture natural, in the moment photos of you, your little one and your family. Lifestyle photography with natural light (where possible in the north) is my favourite way to take photos giving bright, warm, timeless images. I like to keep things relaxed and fun and also make sure every photoshoot is personal to best represent everyone’s character and personality. I work with each client in the run up to their photoshoot to get to know you and your family and discuss any specific images or looks you would like to achieve, themes, decorations and who is to be included to provide your personal gallery.
